Contact Lens Opacity

Colored contact lenses allow you to change your eye color and transform your look. We get a lot of emails and messages on social media asking us whether our contact lenses can cover very dark brown eyes and the answer is YES! How? Because our color contact lenses have a high opacity. This means that they are made up of non-transparent pixels that cover and merge with your natural eye color to cover it completely.

Our contact lenses are designed to mimic the natural look of the iris, which is the colored part of the eye. This area is made up of pigments of color that come together to create your eye color and so our contact lenses work in the same way with tiny opaque pixels arranged in a pattern to transform your natural eye color.

If you are looking for a natural-looking change go for a color that is only slightly lighter that your natural eye color like honey or hazel colored lenses. We suggest the Cloeique Garnet Luxe or Cloeique Jade. But if you are looking for a dramatic change opt for contact lenses in bright colors, such as blue, gray or two tone blue green. We suggest the Solotica Rio Ipanema or Solotica Natural Crystal. Please note that if your skin is dark, bright-colored lenses can create a show-stopping or shocking transformation!
